The Gauss Institute’s objective is the creation of a knowledge-based society using science and technology that is sustainable in the long-term. The institute’s working area is in the field of sustainable and knowledge-based social development. The institute develops digital knowledge systems to manage efficiently the intelligence of the available resources of the region to increase regional productivity, and also web portals and platforms based on existing data and expert knowledge to provide parameters and scenarios at a time horizon of years and decades of operation.
Role in the project
Development and dissemination of a geo-referenced 3D model of the “virtual city” (supported by historical input from Institute and Museum Bitola) with information on type of object, historical background, law regulations; dissemination of software platform for collaborative arts (“Art Crowd Sourcing”); construction of portable “input” points where people of Bitola can suggest ideas “on-site” using pen tablets; processing of user inputs (“Hot Spot” areas suggested for Free Artistic Expression); pilot implementation of the software solution.
