Public Urban Lab Bremen

From the 20. to the 25. of June the Hochschule Bremen and the M2C Institute will transform the square in front of the Bremen main station into a media lab for participative urban development. The Public Urban Lab serves as think and future studio housed in a container box. Here Bremen citizens can get in touch with innovative research on participation, city development, urban re-design, and urban art. Implementation

Cooperation The lead partner and the partners are experienced in European project work. Each partner implements the organizational work packages and workshops. Objectives

“The People’s Smart Sculpture” (PS2) fosters participative art and collaborative urban art&culture processes in Europe ́s cross-cultural city spaces. It is constituted by 12 project partners in 11 sub- projects in 8 European countries with artists and creatives from 29 European countries. The approach works on two levels: the implementation of cultural participation projects by artists, creatives and researchers and the ongoing optimization of the art and participation aspects in these projects through reflection and evaluation in participation workshops-series in the 8 countries.
