Public Urban Lab Bremen

From the 20. to the 25. of June the Hochschule Bremen and the M2C Institute will transform the square in front of the Bremen main station into a media lab for participative urban development. The Public Urban Lab serves as think and future studio housed in a container box. Here Bremen citizens can get in touch with innovative research on participation, city development, urban re-design, and urban art. Local stakeholders, scientists and artists will use the Public Urban Lab as a stage and as a forum for public open discussions on new participatory tools and methods. 4D – Virtual Urban Art

The goal of this project is to create and use a system for increased citizen participation in the area of urban art, urban development and new ways of planning. Influenced by the socio-economical development, the urban centers experience constant change in their structure and often the people have minor influence in the decision making process.
